What female in history is best for a project?

I have this project that I need to do for reading class. The project’s titled I Am So I have to BE the person. It can’t be someone who has a birth or death unknown, has to have a thorough background, and is someone the girls wouldn’t even THINK to write about but is a key figure in history. I have to find a biography on her in my school library. I want the girl I work on to be interesting and NOT a president’s first lady. Can you help me out?
