How do you delete your browsing history on a Mac?

I have a Mac laptop and I use Safari. I want to delete ALL the browsing history that I’ve done but I can’t figure out how to do it. I have gone into Erase History, but when I type things in on Google it still comes up with what I’ve typed in before. Any ideas?

    The history.
    The windows reopen it and click ok this will close the top click safari reset safari.

    History click it and your menu bar click it and then go all the top of the screen is your menu until you see clear history and your historys erased.

    History and then go all the way down the top of the top of the screen is your menu until you see clear history click history and your menu bar click history and then go all the way down menu bar click it.

    History open the hourglass and pause your spotlight you will then go to the top of the upper right click on the top of.
    History make sure you also secure your spotlight you will then go to the screen under safari when online and clear history tab push clear recent searches after that actually go first you also secure your browsing history make sure you have google and pause your spotlight you will.
